Farm
Surrounded by coppiced woods and included in the perimeter of the century-old Pisani Dossi hunting reserve (established today as Agri-tourism and Hunting Estate), our territory is an example of sustainable agricultural management. The company has been involved in specialized poplar cultivation for four generations. Our focus is the cultivation of rapidly growing essences - more specifically the Euro-American hybrid poplar clones which, in eight-nine years, bring a plant over 1500 lbs of weight. They are to be transformed into sheets of plywood and cellulose for multiple uses, including paper. After each cut of the forests, we proceed with the replanting with the new essences which, during their almost ten-year long life on the company's land, will provide significant help to the environmental balance and the fight against the greenhouse effect.
Zero impact
Ours is a zero-impact farm, as on at least 400,000 m2 of company surface, there are always trees in different states of maturation. The oxygen produced by them abundantly compensates for the emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere resulting from our activities. A careful exploitation of energy resources, with the use of a photovoltaic system, as well as an efficient drip irrigation complete the work, making our farm completely eco-sustainable. In 2000 the company started his agritourism restaurant business, which in 2010 was turned into a traditional restaurant. The farm currently includes a short-term parking area for campers and caravans, combined with the offer of overnight stays in characteristic houses mounted on agricultural wagons and positioned on the bank of the lake.

Camper parking area
A large lawn, equipped with columns for electricity, supply and drainage, can accommodate campers and caravans for a short stay at our farmhouse. It is perfect for travellers, bicycle tourists or for those who just want to spend a day close to nature, maybe enjoying the specialties of the restaurants in the village. The Borgo di Riazzolo (Riazzolo Village), which is just over 15 minutes from the Bisceglie Milan underground station, is home to two very well-known restaurants: both the Cascina Riazzolo restaurant (www. agriturismoriazzolo.com) and the Rio del sole tavern are perfect for spending a cheerful evening in good company or for a family lunch out of town. The large green spaces give children the possibility to play on the lawns and adults to relax while enjoying the restaurants' products, if they wish.
We provide nature lovers with overnight stays in our mobile homes located on the bank of the lake. Despite being surrounded by a rural context, the mobile homes have all the comforts: double bed, bathroom with shower, air conditioning, TV, fridge and kettle. The mobile homes are built on agricultural wagons, modeled on the traditional English Shepherd's huts used by shepherds when raising sheep and giving birth to lambs. The first literary mention of a shepherd's hut dates back to 1596. In the second half of the 19th century, the use of huts was frequent on the flatlands of southern England, but it then decreased in the 20th century with the advent of mechanized agricultural machinery.
